Summary: 2012 is a movie which pictures the end of the world. With various catastrophes showed in heavy detail in the movie, it is a sure bet for a blockbuster this year. Director Roland Emmerich has put in great thought on how he would portray the worlds end, and indeed he has done it in great style through 2012.



Review:Ever wondered how the world’s end would be? If you have, then 2012 would certainly be of your interest. With a talented cast, the story mainly depicts on how the world would end in 2012 and the political scandals surrounding it.

The plot unfolds by the introduction of Adrian Helmsley who is an American geologist that learns from a colleague that the neutrinos from the sun are behaving differently and in a peculiar way. Through tests and evidence gained by intensive research, Helmsley approaches White House Chief of Staff Carl Anheuser to directly inform him on what is happening.

In the year, 2010 a top secret project funded by various government s and also the private sector was conducted in the Himalayas in the sole purpose of ensuring the survival of the human race. The main story eventually revolves around how a father and a divorced husband by the name Jackson Curtis helps rescue his family after getting to know about the end of the world from a man during his holiday trip with his children in Yellowstone.

By reading the signs and also with a help form a guy known as Charlie, Jackson finds himself in a race with time to get his ex, wife, children and also his wife’s boyfriend to China where a solution to save mankind was built and kept secret.

There was added drama in the plot with the introduction of Russian billionaire Yuri Karpov who eventually backstabs Jackson Curtis and everyone with him. The story came to a climax as Adrian Helmsley tried helplessly to convince other heads of countries to allow more people into the arc that were built to save mankind.

2012 can be considered one of the best disaster films of all time as it has drama, action and also superb graphics added to it.
