Review

Summary: It has indeed been quite some time since Disney’s last 2D movie. From the classics such as Aladdin and Cinderella, the Princess and the Frog is a movie not to be missed especially by the children out there. With voices from famous stars such as Oprah Winfrey and John Goodman, it certainly is a movie to enjoy this holiday season.



Review:Directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, this highly awaited 2D animation by Disney is indeed a must watch for those moviegoers out there. The Princess and the Frog starts off with an opening scene where Tiana and Charlotte La Bouff are listening to a story told by Eudora about the Princess and the Frog. The movie is set in New Orleans in the 1920’s where the plot of the animated movie is set on young Tiana, who unlike portrayed in the real story of the Princess and the Frog before this, is not a princess but rather a normal woman trying her level best to open up her own restaurant.

The story practically becomes interesting when Tiana kisses a talking frog who was Prince Naveen. Little did she know that only a princess could change a frog prince into his true self, but if someone normal would to do that; they would too become a frog.

Now being changed into a frog too, Tiana and Prince Naveen are forced to travel together to find someone who could break the spell. This is when they learn that a voodoo priestess named Mama Odie could actually break the spell. Being a Disney movie, the story of them travelling together was filled with music and also comedy that had been total fun to watch.

The Princess and the Frog is a spectacle not to be misses, especially for all the Disney classic fans out there and you’re about to go into an adventure that would catch your mind and you’ll find yourself laughing all the way back home.
