Author	When his brother is killed in battle, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge’s intentions of driving off the native humanoid “Na’vi” in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na’vi people with the use of an “avatar” identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand – and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora. Johnsimpsons	Avatar is considered as a highly anticipated and a sci-fi epic which is circled on Jake Sully who is a Paralyzed Marine and is given a very important task right after he lost his twin brother. Hired by a faceless corporation (there certainly is not other kind in the entire movie) Jake is forced to travel longer distances to the world of Pandora, which is in fact inhibited by a blue skinned so called humanoids – Navi, who are 9 inch tall creatures with tails. The Land of Pandora is also considered a home to a number of special minerals that could put an end to the energy crises of our Planet Earth. Human beings are simply unable to breathe in their atmosphere, so the company made a number of Avatars, which are a genetically engineered body and are considered as Hybrid forms of Human DNA and Navi together. These are controlled by conscious mind of human pilots through a remote control device. As Jake shares a common genome with his deceased brother so the company asks him to act in place of his brother as Avatar driver. Jake is also offered a deal by leader of Military services, Col. Quaritch, to keep an eye on Navi’s making use of his Avatar form and to try and learn all the ways of Navi so he can in fact gain their trust. In return the Company agrees to pay the price for Jake’s Paralysis treatment. Initially Jake agrees but later on finds himself native as he is welcomed in the tribe by a beautiful Navi Neytriri. This is one reason where Jake decides to switch his sides in his Avatar form and then try to help Navi’s to stand against the “people from the sky”. You can always trust that James Cameron certainly has managed to pull it all again as there are a number of people around the globe who were simply skeptical about Avatar ever since they saw the first footages of the movie on the Television Promos. The movie has everything starting from Characters, special effects, story line, romance, hatred, action and hype. So if you just want to believe everything then you have to go ahead and watch the movie yourself. When speaking on technical terms, we certainly can say that Avatar is a landmark that has ever been created in a motion picture. People might even remember this movie for around next seventy years as it has managed to redefine all the boundaries of cinema. The movie incorporates various aspects of graphics that none of us would have ever imagined and an interesting storyline that would leave us speechless throughout the movie. It is currently on top of the US film charts and grossed $77,025,081 in only its opening weekend thus proclaiming director James Cameron’s mark in the film industry after a 12 year absence. The story revolves around a war veteran named Jake Sully who is brought to another planet called Pandora. This opportunity was given to him as to replace his brother which was involved in a project supported by the government in Pandora but had died in the process. Due to matching genes Jake Sully had been able to control the Avatar that his brother once controlled. These Avatars which are controlled by men, have been a multibillion dollar project funded by the government to allow humans to directly communicate and understand a native tribe that inhabits Pandora called the Na’vi. Although, not many have actually been able to directly understand these creatures, Jake Sully amazingly had been accepted and given the opportunity to live, breathe and also be one with the Na’vi. With a perfect storyline and graphics that would had mesmerize anyone who watched Avatar, the storyline depicts on how Jake Sully began to be one with the Na’vi tribe and portrayed a man’s will power to save a race that was being threatened by human greed and power Posted On: 12-28-09
